Add categories and/or endorsements to your Tester Card

How to add a category or endorsement.

  • Hold a valid in date First Aid certificate
  • Hold a valid in date Specialist Supervisors (SUP) or Managers & Professionals (MAP) Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Test
  • Hold a Health & Safety Qualification*
  • Achieve the CPCS Advanced Theory and Advanced Practical Test within two years of the HS&E Test** OR CPCS Advanced On-Site Assessments (AOSA) within two years of the HS&E Test (if same category is held on a current Competent Operator Card which was gained via VQ***)

The CPCS Accredited Test Centre where you achieved the Advanced Practical Test or AOSA will provide you with a partially completed F3/1 Application form for a First CPCS Tester card or to Add Further Categories. The NOCN Group Quality Assurance Personnel (EQA) present at the Advanced Practical Test or AOSA will sign the declaration.

This form, along with copies of relevant certificates should be sent to the email address on the reverse of the form. There is no need to attach payment as the cost of the application is included in the CPCS Advanced Technical Test/AOSA notification fees.

** You are not required to pass the Advanced theory test to add a further endorsement regardless of when the original card was issued.

*** A Record of Experience (RoE) will be required prior to the notification of both the Advanced Theory and Advanced Practical test or AOSA. It is mandatory the EQA is in attendance for all advanced testing and assessments.
