Update 189
Posted 6 August 2021
The Governments advise about the easing of Covid restrictions in the UK still requires everyone to be safe. CPCS will continue to support our centres as we move through various stages of the pandemic.
Creating Candidate Registration ID Numbers
We have been working with our system providers to enable the functionality for centres to create ID numbers for individuals who do not hold a record with NOCN/CPCS within TCMS. This development has been discussed and is scheduled for September.
For the interim until this is LIVE and you are able to create yourself, we have made some internal changes to the processes that will make it quicker for you to receive the ID numbers. This means that from the 6th of August it is now required that you complete the updated ‘CPCS Candidate Registration Request’ that is stored in TCMS documents. Customer Operations will now no longer accept these types of requests via email after the 6th of August.
The TCMS will be updated with the new form today.
Pearson Vue
Pearson Vue are operating as business as usual regarding all Health Safety & Environment test and CPCS Renewal Tests. However some local restrictions may still apply and/or centres may be effected by Covid outbreaks.
Centre Mailing List
We have received reports that some centres are not receiving these types of updates. Last year we completed a task to obtain 2 email addresses from every centre to ensure that comms were being received. The updates are sent out by our marketing team, which means that some of the emails may go into Junk/spam files. If you are experiences issues where you aren’t receiving comms then please let your named contact know and we can check to make sure we have the correct information.
Alternatively the bulletins tab on the website will also be updated with any updates that have been sent out.
Sector 9 EQA
EQA John Landers will be taking early retirement on the 31 July 2021. John has supported both CTA and CPCS for over 32 years and we wish him the very best for the future. We have successful recruited a replacement EQA for Sector 9, and will give further details in the next update.
In the meanwhile Tim Downes and Billy White (CPCS) will provide temporary cover for any off-centre activities in Sector 9. Please see contact information sheet in the TCMS for contact information.
